Exploding Pig is an Austrian instrumental music phenomenon based in Graz — and a genuinely international one. The band features acclaimed trombonist Luis Bonilla, celebrated for his work alongside Phil Collins and the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, bringing a rare combination of virtuosity and edge to the scene.

The brand lives in the tension between rawness and craft. Their merchandise carries the same conviction as the music: nothing is mass-produced, nothing softened for a broader audience. The pieces are worn by real people from the community — friends, regulars at shows, people who already belong.

Merchandise photography for a band with a real identity is nothing like product photography. You can't light it on a seamless background and call it done. The merch needs to look worn-in before you've touched it — like it already carries someone's story.

We shot in warm tungsten light, in lived-in spaces, with real people from the Exploding Pig orbit. No models. No conventional art direction. Just the people who already wear this stuff, photographed doing it honestly.
